Our campaign achieved historic success in 2022 because of your investment in our movement for real and authentic change. We also launched a voter registration organization that will continue to build power for years to come. Your generosity enabled us to grow our base and continue leading by our values, free of corporate influence. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Our key to success has been our commitment to year-round transformative community organizing. In 2022 turnout in House District 42 was 11% higher than the rest of Orange County and we secured the support of 38% of NPA voters. Locally in our community we knocked on more than 22,000 doors this cycle, made 23,000 phone calls, delivered 1,750 yard signs and raised $337,138 from 2,160 individual donors. In a year where Democrats lost seven Florida House seats, we saw our new district come out in historic ways to re-elect a Happy Warrior. 

In 2022, People Power for Florida registered over 5,000 Floridians to vote and more than 9,000 since our inception. We sent 10,400 post cards and 396,338 text messages, activated 646 people to volunteer with us and trained 16 Democracy Fellows, empowering them to continue organizing in their communities. We did all of it by raising $195,836 from 243 number of individuals. This year we've hosted three youth organizing bootcamps at UCF, FSU, and UF -- with our fourth bootcamp set for FIU in October.

Meanwhile, our legislative team continued to champion the needs of everyday people -- delivering the best constituent services in the state and alleviating the economic insecurity felt by too many of our fellow Floridians. We also held the line not just in the legislature but at rule-making meetings too and have played a major role in helping to get abortion on the ballot in 2024. As Governor DeSantis hurts our state with his extreme agenda, it's essential to have strong leaders on the ground every day to fight back.
